Dean Hallam

Group Chief Financial Officer

Dean joined the Group in February 2017 bringing with him over 30 years of experience in financial management, corporate governance, risk management and strategic planning. During his career he has led on a number change programmes and strategic reviews for businesses in industries spanning B2B Services, Research & Innovation, Manufacturing, Distribution and Retail, helping those business through significant development and growth. Dean has many years of international experience having managed start-up business units in a number of countries across Northern and Southern Europe. He has acted as an industry expert in the field of financial frameworks for innovation in manufacturing and production engineering sectors and has authored a number of financial models for public/private sector collaboration in this area, accepted as best practice by the European Commission and UK Government. Dean is a strong advocate of learning and development both at individual and organisational level and has championed a number of people development initiatives including award winning academies for structured learning. In his spare time, he has mentored Business Studies undergraduates at Nottingham Trent University. Dean is a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Chartered Director.
